This hydrangea mini was painted as part of my Flower of the Week series

)  Soft pinks and peaches pair beautifully with rich plums and magentas

As I was pondering what to name them and remembering how freeing it felt to paint these roses

"New Mercies" started out as another painting and it just wasn't working

and we usually get them in an assortment of pinks and reds to display throughout our home for the holidays and winter months
