This painting is a "cousin" to some of the cityscapes I feature from downtown Chicago

It's a weird roadway because there are for-profit photography enterprises that set up along the twisting road and take snap shots of the hot rods and souped up motorcycles as they rip around the curves and bends

and subtle colors

I caught this moment along the Middle Prong River

The mood and energy throughout this subject immediately drew my eye

I love to explore these landscape features, and when I paint these subjects my mind is filled with the sound of the rushing freshwater.
