Lacking outer guard at lower end

An attractive and very authentic antique 1920s rug by the Baharlu tribe of the Khamseh Confederacy of tribes in south west Persia

Azra underlay This antique rug is ofA vibrant 1940s Karabakh long rug from south west Caucasus. Glorious pinks, coral and plum and a profusion of motifs. Date 1949(?) in outer guard top left and inscription date in ivory border top right. Exuberant fringes at one end. Overall even wear with corrosion to dark brown.
