but the original German ones are far more hefty

This one is fairly interesting and includes a lot of good pictures and even an English language article by an American speaking of the importance of a united Europe to destroy communism and how senseless it is for the Americans and Britain to be fighting Germany

I would guess this to be a vintage size 16R or 16L (check above measurements to ensure fit as vintage sizes run smaller)

I did find this one in the states and it does appear it was made for export as the chart of the back is in English although the bottom cover latch still has A and Z for auf and zu. The shutter seems to be working fairly well but does stick a little on the slowest speed. The viewfinder doesn't have any lenses, but I don't see how they could have fallen out. I'm not sure if this was just a hollow
