The 2018 Joel Gott California Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of mango

Shows intense red fruit aromas combined with subtle notes from the aging including vanilla

but the cellar masters were adding their final touch to the wine and Barton & Guestier cellar master

There are hints of crushed mineral or oyster shell as well

The palate is juicy with tropical mango and papaya flavors which are backed by ample acidity thanks to the cool climates of Hopland in Mendocino county

It was fermented with whole clusters in foudre and aged in a combination of foudre and 500L used barrels.
