This feature was not successful and most instruments were rebuilt by fitting a complete new top

This example was aquired many years ago for our WW2 display and is in non working order

A very early hand engraved Great Western Railway brass shelf plate "ABERBEEG" which was recovered from the amazing named box "SIX BELLS COLLIERY SIGNAL BOX"

This item is  complete but is currently seized and requires restoration
