Victorian Old Cut Diamond Belcher Ring mid-century Turquoise & RubyClassic Victorian solitaire belcher ring dating from the late 19th century, circa 1880. Belcher rings are characterised by their "cut away" prongs, formed by carving into the gold around the head to leave deep grooves or channels. This one is set with a chunky and bright Old European cut diamond and is crafted in buttery 18 carat gold throughout which has taken on a gorgeous patina over the last 145 years. The name, belcher ring, is said to have been
