These trees arch dramatically over the savanna through the Serengeti

so I was very happy to get this shot

The mother to the three cubs in this photograph had crossed the river to fish

they only need to drink every couple of days

Snowy owls in my opinion are one of the toughest bird species to photograph. In my experiences they tend to be very skittish. I had tried using a remote trigger on my camera set up on a common snowy perch, I had tried sitting in a blind and waiting at common snowy perches, and I had tried stalking snowys, it seemed impossible to get within camera range. On a
