Each bowl has been hand-carved from indigenous wood by women of the Turkana community in Kenya

Due to being hand-woven the baskets have organic shapes at the top and may not be perfectly circular

As the mortars have been exposed to elements and been used daily

The horns are removed from their outer shell to reveal the white inner horn

Mike managed to find the perfect moment with the shadows of the dunes below

Fang Mask 06 Each bowl has been hand-carvedHand carved from indigenous wood, these Fang mask have the traditional shape of the elongated nose and jaw and are coloured with clays. They are traditionally worn during dances at ceremonies and are thought to frighten and chase away those with evil intentions. Each mask is one of a kind and details will vary slightly. Stand is included. Please note stands may have minor imperfections.
